DECEMBER RECAP — DILLON FENCE, BLUE DOGS
Dillon Fence had quite a night at Lincoln Theatre on December 20. Sold out show, amazing crowd. You lifted us up. Kent Alphin, Scott Carle, Chris Goode and I would like to THANK YOU all for coming. Big thanks to The Lincoln, Band Together, John Fields, Balsa Gliders, and Alex Lawhon for bringing it. The following night with Dillon Fence and Blue Dogs at Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte was also spectacular; here's hoping that we'll get some more DF shows together before too long. We have a great live recording of the Raleigh show — hope to share it with y'all at some point.
Speaking of Blue Dogs, it was a treat to be one of their musical guests at their annual Homecoming show held at Charleston Music Hall. Got to play and hang with their extra-large band of ace musicians and rip it up with the master, Jerry Douglas! Alison Krauss showed up and sang a beautiful song — backed by Jerry and members of the Cox family — and brought the house down. Kudos to Bobby Houck and the Blue Dogs family, Rob Lamble and Ear for Music, and everyone who attended for throwing a hell of a party and raising $70,000 for MUSC CHildren's Hospital. Thanks for having me.
More soon,
Greg
